Privacy notice
Last updated October 2026. Draft – to be reviewed before launch.
Who we are
The North Pole Post is run by Sentinel42 Ltd, a UK company. We are the data controller. Contact us at hello@northpolepost.uk.
What we collect
- You (the grown-up): your email address, and your mobile number if you choose text alerts.
- Your child: first name, age band (3–5, 6–8 or 9–11), how Santa should refer to them, and up to three interests. Never a surname, birthday, photo or location.
- Check-ins: your Star / OK / Try again ratings and any short note you add.
- Payments: handled by Stripe. We never see your card details; we keep a record of what was bought.
Why we use it
Only to write and deliver Santa's letters to you, and to run your account. Our lawful basis is performing our contract with you. We only send marketing if you separately tick the box to say yes.
Where it is held
Your information is stored on secure servers in the European Union (Ireland), which UK law recognises as giving adequate protection.
How long we keep it
All information about children – names, check-ins, letters, voice recordings and wishes – is deleted automatically on 31 January each year. We keep your sign-in and purchase records so you can come back next Christmas. You can delete everything sooner in Settings → Download or delete my data.
No tracking
We use no adverts, no tracking cookies and no analytics tools. We only use the storage needed to keep you signed in.
Your rights
You can see, download, correct or delete your data at any time from Settings, or by emailing us. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
